Design that starts with your actual room

A good layout comes from the room you have, not a catalogue picture. At the visit we look at how the room works now and what could work better.

Layout and space

Where the bath or shower, toilet and basin can go. How the door swings. How much room you need to move.

Storage and light

Where towels and toiletries will live. Where the window is, and where the room feels dark.

Pipes and waste route

Where the hot, cold and waste pipes run decides what moving a fitting will involve.

What we check at the design visit

We measure the room and look closely at the following. They shape the layout and the quote.

  • Layout: where each fitting can sit and how the door opens
  • Storage: space for towels, toiletries and cleaning things in a vanity, niche or cupboard
  • Light: the window, the mirror lighting and any dark corners
  • Pipes and waste route: where they run and what a move would involve
  • Walls: whether they are flat, sound and ready for tiles or panels
  • Floor: whether it is level and solid enough for the flooring you like
  • Examples: suites, tiles and panels shown in your own light

Have these ready for the visit

You do not need a finished plan. A few things help us a lot.

  • Photos of bathrooms you like
  • A list of what you want to keep, such as a window, a radiator or good tiles
  • Who uses the room, and what annoys you about it now
  • A rough idea of your budget
  • Parking and access details for the building

No showroom, and no guessing

We do not have a showroom. We bring examples to you instead. You see suites, tiles and panels in your own light, next to your own walls. That is easier than judging from a shop display.

Ideas to bring along

FAQs

Do you have a showroom?

No. We come to your home instead. We measure up, check the room and show you examples in your own light.

What happens at a bathroom design visit?

We look at the layout, storage, light, pipes, walls and floor. We measure the room and show you examples of suites, tiles and panels. Afterwards we send a written quote.

Can I change the layout of my bathroom?

Often, yes. Moving the toilet, basin or shower can add plumbing work, so we check the pipes and waste route first. The written quote shows what the change involves.

How much does bathroom design cost?

Design is part of our fitted bathroom packages. They start from £4,699 for design, supply and fitting. Your written quote lists the products and work for your room.

What should I have ready for the visit?

Photos of bathrooms you like, a list of what you want to keep, and a rough budget. Tell us who uses the room and what bothers you about it now.

Can I keep some of my existing fittings?

Yes, if they are in good condition and suit the new layout. Tell us before we prepare the quote.

Do you design small bathrooms and en-suites?

Yes. Small rooms need careful layouts to fit storage in. See our small bathroom specialists page.
