How Do You Price a Shower Installation?
Your shower sits inside a room, so the price includes the room around it. We design, supply and fit the shower as part of a shower room or bathroom, and the quote lists every item.
| Package | Starting price | What it can include for a shower |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | from £4,699 | Walk-in shower on a low-profile tray with glass screen and wet wall panels, in the existing layout. |
| Mid-range | from £6,499 | Tiled walls, a thermostatic shower and a vanity with storage, or a formed wet room floor. |
| Premium | from £8,999 | Large-format tiles or microcement, rainfall and handheld shower, fitted storage and underfloor heating. |
New bathroom starting from £22 per week*. *Indicative starting figure. Finance subject to status, application and affordability. Terms apply. See the package details for what is included in each range.
These are starting prices. Your exact figure is in your written quote, once we have seen the room.
Does an Electric Shower Cost Less Than a Mixer?
The two work very differently, and the cost sits in different places.
- Electric shower. It heats the water itself, so it needs a dedicated electrical supply and a cold feed. An electrician has to be part of the job.
- Mixer shower. It blends your hot and cold supplies. It depends on your hot water system and pressure, and it can include a thermostatic valve for steady temperature.
Which is right depends on your home. Our water pressure and shower guide shows how to choose.

How Does Water Pressure Change the Price?
Low pressure can limit the showers that will work well. In that case you may need a different type of shower or a pump, which adds to the cost.
We look at your supply during the home visit so the shower in the quote is one that will perform properly.

How Much Do the Tray and Enclosure Add?
A standard tray and screen is the starting point. Larger or made-to-measure trays and wider glass screens cost more.
A true wet room has a formed, waterproofed floor in place of a tray and costs more because of the preparation. Our wet room cost guide explains the difference.
Are Tiles or Panels Cheaper Around the Shower?
Wet wall panels are quicker and usually cheaper than tiles once labour is counted. Tiles give more choice of look but take longer.
Whichever you pick, the walls behind need to be sound and sealed. Our panels or tiles comparison covers upkeep and appearance.

Does Moving the Shower Cost More?
Yes, it often does. A shower in the same place as the old one uses existing pipes. Moving it means new supplies and a new waste route, which means opening walls or floors.
Other things that can add to the quote include a new extractor fan, a heated towel rail, a niche and repairs to the floor or walls once the old shower is out.
What Should a Shower Quote Include?
Ask for a quote that names every part of the job, so that you can compare like with like:
- The shower type, valve and head, with the make and model.
- The tray, enclosure and screen, with sizes.
- The wall finish, whether panels or tiles, and the waterproofing.
- Any pipework, electrical work and waste changes.
- Removing the old shower and taking away waste.
- Anything priced separately, such as an extractor or a heated towel rail.
A clear list like this protects you from a cheap-looking figure that leaves out half the work.
Do You Replace or Repair a Single Shower?
We fit new shower rooms and bathrooms. We do not do repairs, so if your shower is leaking or has a faulty valve, you will need a plumber.
If you want the whole shower area replaced as part of a refit, that is what we do. Our shower room installation page explains the service.
What Should I Decide Before the Home Visit?
You do not need all the answers. A few early thoughts help us give you a more useful quote:
- Who will use the shower, and do any of them need easier access?
- What kind of hot water system you have, such as a combi boiler or a tank.
- Whether you want a tray and screen, or a level wet room floor.
- Whether you prefer the look of tiles or the easy upkeep of panels.
- Roughly where you want the shower to sit in the room.
Photographs of the room are welcome too. You can also send them to us on WhatsApp before we visit.
